A complete reversal...
Well, I can finally comment on my job situation now:
-First off, I am finally no longer unemployed after being cut by my now former company.
No bitterness in that really, I just didn't really care at that point. The one thing that really burned me about it though was how they treated the aftermath. Considering that they really made me jump through hoops to collect my severance pay and then when I finally had to get the Japanese government involved and got paid, my former colleague had the nerve to say that I "ran to mommy and daddy" over this.
-Well, funny thing happened after that. As I went for interview after interview after interview, I finally chose a company that was the right fit. In fact, ironically, I'm the direct client contact of my former employer! Imagine the smile on my face when I received that one email from the "mommy and daddy" guy. "Gee...if I ran to my mommy and daddy, that means I ran to your granny and grand-daddy considering..." Well, you know how my thoughts would finish there...
-My money issue appears to have been solved since my fatter paycheck. Now I can pay for my wife's tuition in full!
-I wrapped up Karate training camp this past weekend and it feels great. My body's in pain (due to food poisoning actually), but I still have the satisfaction of knowing that I finished a training camp.
That's it for now! Things are looking good at just the right time. I'm still married, still have my health (working on that), got a job that I actually like now, and getting paid more.
Over and out!
